Night Flock

The last rays of light seem to reach out and kiss the surface of a pond that vibrates with the lingering essence of feathers lifting off. To me, this energy and light is the heart of the Bosque.
Night Flock Fine Art Print
Every evening about 15 minutes before sunset, large flocks of sandhills begin their slow descent into a favorite roosting pond in Bosque del Apache. This is a very peaceful time to be with the cranes as they land and slowly meander into a congregation. A small number of the flock are tasked with staying awake and alert to any predators who might approach in the middle of the night. But the water serves as a security system – revealing the presence of coyote footsteps. This pond in particular is a magical place in the evening as twilight wanes behind the Chupadera Mountains, casting the birds in purple and pink silhouette!

Sizes& Pricing
Signed, open edition prints in a variety of sizes. Pricing starts at $59 for a signed print – making fine art accessible is important to me, especially at a time when we all can greatly benefit from bringing the beauty of the wild into our homes (scientific research supports this!)
If you already have a frame and want a print the frame can accommodate, please include a description of the frame, including the frame dimensions and the dimensions of the matboard opening, if there is one, and the finish (ie: wood, silver, black, metal, etc.)
What to Expect
Your print journey is one of dedicated craftsmanship, from the initial order to its arrival at your home. All prints are created using a top tier Canon Prograf 1000 with every detail fine-tuned to ensure your artwork not only delights but endures. I handpick exceptional, premium paper specifically for your print, ensuring both aesthetic beauty and matting ease with tailored sizing. I conclude the process with a personal touch, signing each print with an acid-free pencel (for longevity) following an exhaustive inspection. To provide this meticulous care, I request 2-3 weeks to deliver your artwork.

Shipping
- Your prints will be shipped in a sturdy tube via USPS and will flatten naturally if left on a table for a day or so
- Carefully remove the print from the tube in a safe spot, such as a dining room table, and it will gradually uncurl.
