Mi Cielo Fine Art Print
Photographs that convey an intimate connection between two animals hold so much meaning to me. Sandhill cranes and many more species pair for life, and although some do separate in the wild due to the death of a partner or other factors, these ancient birds have survived as long as they have in part, because they how to stay together.
This photograph appears near the beginning of my book and is dedicated to a loved one who passed away suddenly. Spanish was his native language and he often referred to me as “My Sky” – Mi Cielo in Spanish.
I hope that the bonds of friendship, love, and belonging are conveyed in this image which holds such special meaning to me, and might serve as a loving reminder of a special love who has passed on, or a friend or partner who is your sky.
