Crane Ballerinas
by Susan J. Preston
A mated pair of sandhill cranes gently float, like ballerinas, to land among a great flock gathered in a roosting pond in Bosque del Apache in New Mexico.
Crane Ballerinas
There is something cranes do on windless days
Like ballerinas suspended in mid-air,
and with legs dangling they drop and float
Without a care in the world,
Oh, how they teach me to float!
– Susan J. Preston
Crane Ballerinas was a part of the “40 over 40,” South X Southeast online exhibition curated by Elizabeth Avedon

Signed, open edition prints in a variety of sizes. Pricing starts at $59 for a signed print – making fine art accessible is important to me, especially at a time when we all can greatly benefit from bringing the beauty of the wild into our homes (scientific research supports this!)
If you already have a frame and want a print the frame can accommodate, please include a description of the frame, including the frame dimensions and the dimensions of the matboard opening, if there is one, and the finish (ie: wood, silver, black, metal, etc.)
